Deciding to work one-on-one with someone can feel pretty nerve wracking. And finding someone that you feel you connect with is very important to the process. In fact, the research actually agrees! Over and over, researchers have found that the single most important indicator of how helpful this type of work can be in your life depends on one crucial factor: the connection you feel to the professional you’re working with!
TV shows and movies often portray therapists as distant, constantly taking notes on a clipboard, and full of nods and “a-huh’s.” Here’s how I’m different from what you may have seen:
- I’m real and down to earth. I don’t sit in the chair, nod my head, and ask you how you feel over and over. I take my shoes off. I sit with my feet in the chair quite often. I get excited with you and I share in your pain.
- Because I truly believe that our connection does play a vital part in the work that we do, I offer several ways for you to get to know me. You can follow on the website for great information on specific stress-related topics. You can sign-up for the free e-course so you can hear my voice and experience how we start small and build up to more challenging changes with 7 Surefire Stress Busters for Women. You can converse with me on Facebook (Women Managing Stress) or Twitter (@WomenandStress) and where I post my famous “Stress Tips of the Day.” You can watch my video just above here and get a feel for my personality. And you can also email or call me to schedule a free, 20 minute consult where you and I can chat a little about what’s going on in your life and how I can best help you.
- I offer different types of options that fit in with your financial needs. You may have heard that this kind of work is expensive, especially if you don’t have health insurance. I don’t require that my clients have insurance to work with me. In fact, fees start as low as $15 for one-on-one work with me (see the “Rates” page for more details). You can choose what fits best for you.
- I also offer options that fit your time needs. If you’re a busy woman and you really want us to do some work together, but you don’t know how you’re going to have time to fit it in, I offer solutions for us to connect. For example, while little Johnny is at soccer practice, you can sit in the car and we can have a phone session for 15-30 minutes. You don’t have to hire a babysitter, you don’t have to hurry and rush to make our appointment, and you’ve paid $20-35 for the support you need. And that’s without insurance.
- You’re going to receive support every step of the way. While we’re working together, we’ll start implementing the processes so that you can not only make the changes, but also help the changes to stay in place. We’ll determine the best way for you, not what works for someone else. Together we’ll implement the things that actually will work in your life.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I encourage you to take the next step that feels right for you! You can sign up to receive not only the free e-course, but you’ll also receive my complimentary newsletter that lets you know more tips to lead a happier, less stressful life. This will also let you know about new ways for us to work together throughout the year with programs and products that fit your needs.
Or, you may choose to email or call me to set up a time for us to chat! I love hearing from my readers, so don’t be shy! You can email me at tammy@womenmanagingstress.com or call me at 252-531-3703.
